KAMHLUSHWA — Imagine Scholar has been listed as approved on Eco Atlas under the categories of green design, local products, and empowerment. Eco Atlas, a South African-based ethical directory lists organizations according to their social and environment impact, helping responsible citizens make informed choices on where they work, donate, eat, and play. Eco Atlas Founder, Rhian Berning says:

“I’m passionate about providing proactive tools so we can overcome the great disconnect and have a true sense of the part we play in this web we call life, enabling a viable future for all.”

Imagine Scholar empowers South Africa’s next generation of ethical leaders through an innovative and rigorous cognition-based curriculum, blended with soft and hard skills training. A key tenet of Imagine Scholar’s programming is to encourage students to find what makes them come alive. Many Imagine Scholar students have a deep passion for environmental and social concerns and have developed numerous projects to promote these causes including maintaining organic gardens, planting trees, and running health and wellbeing workshops for other community members.

Imagine Scholar Manager of Marketing & Communications, Cait Graaf comments:

“We’re proud to be recognized for the environmental and social impact our students are having in their community. As an organization, we are focused on education and empowerment of young leaders — approval from specialist organizations like Eco Atlas is a testament to our students’ ability to enact change inside and outside the walls of our campus.”
